Monday #Workout:
200 seconds of plank.
11 mins of yoga for runners.
11 mins of HIIT.
6 mins of strength training (AKA snow shovelling).
12.6 KM of #Running (-2°C, -6 windchill, 94% humidity, and 13 km/hr wind).
Good workouts, run was slippery, but wow was it great to be back on #TeamShorts. Slush is *everywhere*, and I got my feet *soaked* running from water streaming out of a building parking garage (see fire truck in photo).
Remember to rinse your running shoes to get the salt off!
Monday #Workout:
200 seconds of plank
11 minutes of yoga for runners.
10 minutes of HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training).
17.3 KM of #Running (-13°C, -19°C windchill, 91% humidity, and 9 km/hr wind).
Workouts went fast. Again increased distance to 17km, and decided it was a good opportunity to run the length of the Rideau Canal skateway. I'll really feel that later. Coldest #TeamShorts run, really felt it once on the ice as there was no protection from the wind, but legs are fine.

I just put forth my first 10 km run since the end of July and I am so very thrilled about it.
For the better part of a year and a half, I’d been on a cadence of 10 km runs every other day, except some illness and injury. Then I fell apart. Now I feel put back together again. I am equally grateful and hopeful.
@Runningpunk @WTL @TAV whether we are assessed to be prophets or lunatics is immaterial. We are simply happy and free.

Sunday #Workout:
Nine hours of sleep.
7.6 KM of #Walking (snow squall warning, -4°C, -12°C Windchill, 85% humidity, and 35 km/hr wind, gusting to 51 KM/H).
Started off with some snow shovelling, and on our walk to brunch @TAV and I got caught in a snow squall, with snow flying sideways - so cool!
One weird thing about being on #TeamShorts; it appears to make other people smile. i can deal with that.
Now, time to do some #MealPrep and make some soup … if I can get out of my comfy chair.
Friday #Workout:
Quick day trip with @TAV to Montreal (first train in, last train out), with 15km of #Walking around Montreal.
Almost regretted #TeamShorts’ing in a -22°C windchill this morning.
Ate some good food, saw some cool stuff:
Witches Out of the Shadows exhibit at Pointe-A-Callière (thanks @fo, I think you boosted it a while back).
Costume balls exhibit at the McCord
Stewart museum.
Dinner with a friend we haven't seen in too long, and then the train back to Ottawa.
Friday #Workout:
233 seconds of plank.
11 minutes of yoga for runners.
10 minutes of strength training.
10 minutes of HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training).
10.6 KM of #Running (-8°C, -16°C windchill, 67% humidity, and 24 km/hr wind, gusting to 36 km/).
Workouts were fine, thighs seem to be recovering finally.
Run was chillier than expected, with the wind gusts (barely #TeamShorts), and managed a reasonable speed for me, even with all the ice.
Tuesday #Workout:
200 seconds of plank
11 minutes of yoga for runners
20 minutes of strength training
20 minutes of HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training)
26 KM of #Cycling (-1°C, -5°C Windchill, 61% humidity, and 13 km/hr wind)
The strength and HIIT workouts felt hard today.
It was a chilly ride (especially on #TeamShorts), and I got to see something amazing - a young squirrel get caught by a raptor of some sort (#NotABirder) and taken away. Will have to see if the bike camera caught it.
