First time I got an S1 grade on #Tetris Grand Master. Only one relaxed round on morning before work, and I get my best score yet.

Maybe eventually I'll be able to get a GM grade? (On the first one. No intentions of trying to get it on the second; on the third even less.)

"Tetris is especially intriguing to mathematicians in terms of its complexity. More specifically, researchers have wondered about the computing power that it takes to determine how or if someone can truly “solve” Tetris, assuming conditions such as a finite number of bricks and the ability to know the order in which various shapes will appear. [...] [T]hat particular framing places Tetris among the most mathematically complex games."

So there is this mental phenomenon where if you play enough Tetris, when not playing Tetris your brain still tries to make everything Tetris.

It's called The Tetris Effect.

Ever since my one - and first - successful resin pour, my brain keeps trying to figure out how to create a negative space mould of a thing, so I can cast it in resin.

It's equal parts cool and annoying

There are countless versions of TETRIS out there, but I believe one of the most beautiful versions out there, is the 1992 PC release of "TETRIS Classic" from Spectrum HoloByte. Here's the version for Windows 3.1:

Thanks to the uploader "Telev78", this has both the 3.5 and 5.25 inch floppy disks with disk images, flux streams, as well as high-res scans of the disks, box and manual! Go get it!
