#workoutOfTheDay

First a gymnastics piece, working on strict pull-ups.

EMOM 6'
* Odd minute: 4-6 Chin Ups
* Even minute: 3-5 Strict Pull-Ups

They went OK but the last set was ... interesting.

Then the #Workout: "Count Dooku"

#AMRAP 2'
* 10 Front Squats (42.5 / 60)
* 10 Box Jump Overs (24 / 30)
* Max Reps Ring Rows
2' Rest

Continue until 100 ring rows.

Finished in 21'12", scaling the front squats to 30kg on the bar, the box jump overs at 20" (I'm short), and spacing the ring rows in 6 rounds, doing 25 / 20 / 17 / 17 / 16 / 5.

First 5 sets of 3 bench presses, aiming at 75-80% of 1RM. Finished with 49kg on the bar.

Then the deadly #wod: "Nine Rings

In teams of two, each partner does

Men: 50 - 40 - 30 - 20 - 10kcal row
Women: 40 - 32 - 24 - 16 - 8kcal row

A rows 50kcal, B rests, B rows 50, A rests, A rows 40, ... and so on.

Finished in 19'05" I'm still recovering from that one...

Today's #WorkoutOfTheDay was a reprise of "Open 21.1", which I also did +- 1 year ago.

Last time I did single unders and the scaled wall-walk - which is fairly easy.

This time I did single unders again but now the RX wall-walk. Which is *a lot* harder.

Time cap (original) was 15', we were given 20'.

Finished 17 of the last 21 wall walks, and got time capped.

I'm happy with my progress... my shoulder doesn't hurt, my triceps though ... :D

Warm up:

- 3 ATG squat 3" pause e/s
- 10 goblet squats with band around the knees (12 kg)
- 8m banded lateral walk e/s

Plyometrics: 10 rounds
- 1 box jump (start low, build in height) 2x 25cm, 2x 28 cm, 2x 30 cm, 2x 31 cm, 2x 34 cm, 1x 35 cm (new PR!) #BoxJump #PR
- Rest as needed

Squats: 20 min EMOM
- Odd minute: 2 back squats 32 - 34 - 36 - 38 - 40 - 42 - 44 - 46 - 48 - 50 kg #BackSquat

Deadlift: 6x4 #deadlift
- Warm up: 4x 45 kg (this was my 1RM in May '22), 4x 55 kg
- Work: 4x 60 - 63 - 66 - 69 - 72 - 75 kg

Cool down
- Lacrosse ball hamstrings, glutes, lats
- 10 min erg bike

Der Zauber des Anfangs bei Pen&Paper Runden:

Aus losen Charakterkonzepten werden Personen, entwickeln sich über den Tisch hinweg Beziehungsgeflechte und Plothooks für die zukünftige gemeinsame Kampagne.
Aus Zahlen und Tabellen werden Tugenden, Schwächen, schräge Eigenheiten genauso wie übernatürliche Fähigkeiten.

Durfte ich an diesem Wochenende mit einer #WoD und #DungeonsandDragons Runde erleben, lieb's.

Neulich beim Rollenspiel:
Das Garou-Rudel versucht, in ein geheimnisvolles Gebäude voller übersinnlicher Sicherheitsmaßnahmen einzudringen. Man einigt sich darauf, es über die Kanalisation zu versuchen.

Kurz darauf:

Das Rudel steht mit langen Gesichtern um einen offenen Gulli herum.

Spielleiter: "Ja, ich hatte überlegt, wer von Euren Charakteren wissen könnte, dass die deutsche Kanalisation nicht wie die von Gotham aussieht, aber das konnte tatsächlich keiner ..."
