The #Eksternest is a youth house where children provide for their own needs. It's housed in an early 20th century yellow brick building in a stair roof style that is typical for the area around Ypres. Lined to the right with a hedge and trees. The entrance has a flaming red mailbox.

More or less the same but now the pathway is gravel instead of stone.

The bauble is opaque and has a slight sheen to it, and it has a criss cross pattern of red glitter on the surface.

The photograph has a slightly vintage feel to it, with soft focus, and colours that are slightly muted, but at the same time deep and rich. The bauble is a deep ruby red, and the tree around it is a dark emerald green, with occasional highlights of golden greenish yellow from the tree lights and the fitting at the top of the bauble.

Day 23 of #ArtAdventCalendar and we have come to December - an early experiment in cross-processing Fuji Provia 100F all the way back in 2019.

This roll marked the very first moment I realised just how much there was to find in exploring the tiniest details of my local area.

Bit of bonus #mosstodon in there too!

The bracken is backlit by the low sun, making it glow a golden brown colour against a background of warmish but muted tones.

It looks like it is probably a nettle, with jagged leaves with furry 'spines' on the edges. It is backlit by the low sun, making the outer edges of the leaves glow, while the middle parts are in deep shadow.

Again the colour tones are warm but muted, with warm light green tones and occasional flashes of deep golden brown in some of the dried leaves. The photograph has a dark overall feel and strong contrast.

The twig runs from left to right across the centre of the frame, sweeping up to come to a point at the end like a thorn. About halfway along there is a small bud waiting to emerge in spring.

Like the other images, it is backlit by the low sun and the edges are glowing.

It is a colour photograph but appears almost monochrome, in tones of soft warm olive greyish green with just hints of golden yellow where the light highlights the edges of the twig.

The background is completely blurred, with only the twig itself clearly visible.

The moss is thick and forms a rich furry carpet along the whole visible part of the branch. It is glowing softly where it is lit by the low sun.

As with the other photographs in this set, the colour tones are warm and muted with mostly shades of greyish olive green and occasionally warmer yellows where the light hits. The moss is a much richer deep emerald green.

My #ArtAdventCalendar continues calendaring on and we are in June!

Spring weather is very changeable here and it's overcast a lot more often than you might think, so here's some cross processed slide film - it can make the best of the spring colours even when the sky is grey.

The rose is viewed side on, and is in sharp focus, with a soft blur of dappled greens behind.

The colour tones are slightly unreal looking, very rich and contrasty. The rose is a light but vivid pink and the leaves are a deep almost blueish emerald green.

The leaves fill the frame entirely with sweeping lines of green, backlit by the sun so the colours range from bright yellowish green to deep emerald in the shadows.

At the bottom of the frame just a couple of leaf tips are visible, but for all the rest we are seeing the midsection of the leaves so they become just lines that are an abstract mix of sharp and blurry.

The colour tones are vivid and surreal, with strong greens, and strange hints of pink and orange in the highlights.

The leaves are viewed straight down from above. They have a very strong clear ridged pattern on them and quite a spiky serrated edge. It looks like some sort of berry plant.

Again the colour tones are quite unreal, with strong contrast and deep shadows. The greens are vivid and yellowish, while the background fades to deep midnight blueish tones in the shadows.

The flowers are viewed from a low perspective, in amongst them at ground level. Almost nothing in the image is in focus, except perhaps for a couple of buttercups in the foreground. Mostly it is just a riot of green and yellow blobs.

Again the colour tones are surreal, with strong contrast. The shadows are very dark and some of the highlights in the yellow flowers are blown out entirely so the detail is lost. The yellows are bright, rich and golden, while the greens are very dark and rich with an almost blueish emerald tone.
