🕶️ A bird's eye view of the beginning of the game where the protagonist comes out of the inn-hotel from where he just woke up. The graphics are adorable, partly from the Nintendo series (fair use). A mini-map at the bottom right of the screen allows you to locate yourself geographically. 📚️ The Legend of Zelda: Mercuris Chest is a (partially) libre and multi-platform reboot of The Legend of Zelda: Mystery of Solarus DX (zsdx), itself thought as the sequel of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (on SNES), an action-RPG game, with the same graphics (reason why it is only partially libre) and game mechanics. This reboot is the most ambitious project of the Solarus Team, it has the ambition to become a reference amateur Zelda, with a huge and open world, many biomes, NPCs and side quests, and characters and graphical elements specially created to give it its own charm.

HOWEVER Since Hyrule Circuit ALSO premiered in Mario Kart 8... I would be remiss if I didn't mention that cow named Elsie on Lon Lon Ranch in Minish Cap also had blue spots.

Theoretically, this could be a crossbreed between Water Buffalo seen in Breath of the Wild (which contains the ruins of Lon Lon Ranch) and the original cows from the series.

The fact that Hateno cows are brown, like English Shorthorns, supports this theory.

Well, I guess I'm going to be re-buying Zelda: Breath of the Wild & Tears of the Kingdom once the Switch 2 comes out later this year.

It's not the same as getting a new game, but those quality of life improvements are really nice - and higher res and HDR for such a beautiful game? Where'd I put that "shut up and take my money" meme... ;-)
