Snuck out before the storm was about to hit. The colours are so vivid in the garden right now. Everything is in bloom and it makes me soooo happy in my heart :)
@North how do you get the solid backgrounds?
@ECityMom The depth of field I shot with was so narrow that it blurred the background to the point that it looks like a solid colour. The green background is just grass. The black was a shadow as the light was coming in from the side. Hope that helps! 
@North wow! Can you do that on any DSLR, or is that specific to certain kinds? It's been a long time since I had time to practice photography, and I knew a bit about depth of field effects, but I didn't realize that's how to get this kind of effect. Thank you!
@ECityMom it’s more specific to your lens. I used a macro lens so I could get really close up as well :)
@North good to know! We had talked about getting one a long time ago, but decided we weren't serious enough about the hobby at the time to make it worth it. Maybe some day...
