Impassable

"Ófært" the sign says because, a little further down, there's a river (Markarfljót) without a bridge.

The mountain is Eyjafjallajökull a.k.a. E16, a volcano in the south of . The glacier dropping on the left is Gígjökull.

A photo of a landscape under a lightly clouded blue sky. The foreground is a gravel bed with a dirt road running between two signposts. Both are yellow triangles with red borders, and contain an exclamation mark. One also has a plate saying "Ófært impassable" and the pole it's on is slightly tilted. Behind these is a large, snow-capped mountain with lower brown rock slopes. On the left is a downward pointing triangle of glacier dropping from the ice cap. The centre of the volcano peak is a caldera with two high points. Some cloud is clinging to the very top.
