7am in late October, and the mauve and pink welcomes another day.
The beautifully sculpted cloud formation adds to the effect by providing soft shadows.

A photo of the sky, with a line of trees and shrubs at the bottom. The clouds are quite dense but are underlit by the rising sun, which is on the lower left but out of shot. The clouds themselves have a rippled pattern, ridges are standing out from left to right but also towards the viewpoint, giving perspective. The cloudbase is coloured from pale pink with a touch of orange through to a soft pastel mauve. It's beautiful in its subtlety.
