The link below heads to a really good break down of Mastodon, the UI and more. It's a really good starting point for some of the non-obvious aspects of Mastodon.
It was put together by @noelle and we thank them very much for keeping it up to date for all this time.

[EN] Some pictures taken yesterday in some of the neighbourhoods and places most affected by the explosion at the port of #Beirut.
First of all, the port of Beirut, where a warehouse containing 2750 tons of ammonium nitrate was exploded.
A Common Faun (Faunis canens) spotted at Windsor Nature Park, Singapore, on 4 August 2020.
It's a common local butterfly, but still nice to see them flitting about in the shady forest floor near the walking paths.

I was on leave today, so I went to Windsor Nature Park, Singapore. Not much seen due to the cloudy weather but the walk ended with this close (and safe) encounter with a Wild Boar (Sus scrofa) that was rooting in the ground near the broadwalk for food.
It also crossed over the broadwalk to take a look at the other side, before turning back and moving off into the forest.

In order to stay away from the busy areas of the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, we found somewhere in the North Pennines we've never been to before: Ashgill Force.
Loads more photos here if you like https://www.iancylkowski.com/blog/2020/8/2/ashgill-force-north-pennines-summer 👍
I did an experiment shooting these photos on this hike: aiming to shoot for SOOC. It was fun.
Happy to finally spot the Hieroglyphic Flat (Odina hieroglyphica) today, 2 August, 2020 at Upper Seletar Reservoir, Singapore. It was quietly resting at a sunlit spot on a forest path.
Despite appearances, this is a butterfly (a member of the skippers) and usually rests with its wings flat, showing off the distinctive, cryptic patterns on its wings.
