JenniferYesterday I went to see the new Bob Dylan movie and it's so good! I will admit not really knowing anything about Dylan or Joan Baez or Pete Seeger. The actors played the instruments and did all the singing, no AI or whatever, and they were phenomenal. This only covered the years 1961-1964 and it was a good reminder there have been other really awful periods in American history since it touched on the Civil Rights movement, various assassinations, and an almost nuclear war. I'm also not sure whether the actors playing Dylan & <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/JoanBaez" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#JoanBaez</a> , who the movie suggests (again don't know if its true or not) had an affair with him, actually sang or were dubbed but the music/singing was "good" & very nostalgic for this OG who grew up in listing to the music of the 60's & 70's.The crowd that the movie reminded me of the folks I see at classical music performances -- mostly grey haired OGs like me -- just not as well dressed. LOL! 😉Anyway, I'd give the movie an 8 out 10 & it's going on my DVD "Buy List."And I'm pulling out my old Dylan LPs & CDs to listen to them again. 🙂

aburtchWent to see A Complete Unknown last night. It was awesome, definitely go see it if you are a music fan. Timothée Chalamet is excellent. He inhabits the role in a way that you totally buy it's Bob Dylan and forget you're looking at a famous actor on screen. He does really well portraying the changes, from unknown drifter who rolls into town, to hounded superstar and the attitudes and mannerisms that come with each.
