For example change the thread in my sewing machine. Michelle / The Giddy Stitcher<p>Finally finished my Christmas jigsaw! Only 1000 pieces, but it still took me over six hours to put together. ink and yarn<p>Despite being a little intimidated, I tried out my new paints with some wee mushrooms! I also tried painting some leaves and stuff but they look more like blobs than leaves. Alfred Chow - Maker of Things<p>Yesterday, I took out the door that formed the 'air lock' outside the kitchen door. </p><p>This afternoon we cleared out a load of stuff in that space, for the bin and charity shop piles. I removed the hanging rails, the plaster boards, and the wiring. Then dismantled the stud wall timbers. It can all be reused later.<br>The space has been cleaned up a bit, and the wiring strung up out of the way for now.</p><p>I also cleaned off a dry wipe board, of design ideas and notes, and that is now the 'Jobs on the house' list.</p><p>These are all things I could have done ages ago, but the inertia of life meant that it didn't happen. That is: @ didathingclub @ a.gup.pe remove the space between the @ symbols and the letters. I needed to write it out this way so that it wouldn't be shortened and you could see it in full. In your post it will look like this <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://a.gup.pe/u/didathingclub" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>didathingclub</span></a></span> .</p><p>You can also follow the group to see what everyone else is doing by clicking on that link and going to the group 'page'.</p><p>Remember that if you include the group in your response to someone's post, your reply will also be sent to everyone following the group. Think of when people do unnecessary 'reply all's to emails and you get flooded inboxes. Please try to avoid this by removing the group in a reply. </p><p>Following the hashtag <a href="https://sunny.garden/tags/DidAThingClub" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DidAThingClub</span></a> is also a great thing to do if you want to see what everyone is up to. Jupiter Sigh<p>Welcome to the Did A Thing Club!</p><p>The point of this group and hashtag is to have a space where people can celebrate the thing they did. It doesn't have to be big. It can just be 'Hi, I read a whole chapter of a book' or 'I finally planted tomatoes!' Anything that you've been wanting to do, but haven't been able to make yourself do.
