Daniel Böhmer<p>I’ve just copied photos from a rewritable CD-RW burned back in 2004 to our household’s current photo archive—without ANY read errors or other issues😎 I wouldn’t have guessed it could hold data for TWENTY YEARS 😲 </p><p><a href="https://ieji.de/tags/cdburning" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>cdburning</span></a> <a href="https://ieji.de/tags/compactdisc" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>compactdisc</span></a> <a href="https://ieji.de/tags/datarecovery" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>datarecovery</span></a> <a href="https://ieji.de/tags/digitalstorage" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>digitalstorage</span></a></p>
Brad Rosenheim<p>Does anyone have any recommendations for abandoning the cloud for photos and videos? I'd love to have a hard drive at home that is accessible to me and only me online (I know, I know) that I can occasionally recall old photos and videos from and that i can push old photos and videos to. After 20 years, google has started bugging me for money to store &gt;15GB but I don't think I need much more than that and their warnings are exhausting.</p><p><a href="https://climatejustice.social/tags/storage" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>storage</span></a><br><a href="https://climatejustice.social/tags/PrivateNetwork" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>PrivateNetwork</span></a><br><a href="https://climatejustice.social/tags/memory" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>memory</span></a><br><a href="https://climatejustice.social/tags/DigitalStorage" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DigitalStorage</span></a></p>
