Chris<p>Why had I not heard of Emmy Noether and her theorems before?</p><p>This video is extremely interesting. Though the maths is beyond me I followed the gist. Einstein's theory of general relativity had a flaw. It was not consistent with the conservation of energy. Everyone has heard of Einstein but I suspect not many people know that it was Emmy Noether who fixed this flaw, and in doing so showed that energy is only locally conserved, and that over vast times and distances it is lost.</p><p><a href="https://youtu.be/lcjdwSY2AzM?si=3grlRQruUGdM_wqK" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://youtu.be/lcjdwSY2AzM?si=3grlRQruUGdM_wqK</a></p><p><a class="hashtag" href="https://mitra.northumbria.me/collections/tags/physics" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Physics</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://mitra.northumbria.me/collections/tags/emmynoether" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#EmmyNoether</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://mitra.northumbria.me/collections/tags/einstein" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Einstein</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://mitra.northumbria.me/collections/tags/famouswomen" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#FamousWomen</a></p>
