Harry W.<p>Sleep Score looks basically the same as the <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Fitbit" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Fitbit</span></a> version. <br>I'm not against it, but it can lead to stress about getting a "high" sleep score, and thus make your sleep less restful. </p><p><a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Apple" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Apple</span></a><br><a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/AppleEvent" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>AppleEvent</span></a><br><a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/applewatch" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>applewatch</span></a><br><a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/AppleWatchSeries11" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>AppleWatchSeries11</span></a></p>

Colin Purrington<p>Anyone with experience porting data from Fitbit into Garmin? I've been reading over different ways to do this and it sounds as if Google has altered the API, breaking the ability of a python script to conduct a full download. There's also a paid ($20) service, I gather. <a href="https://flipping.rocks/tags/fitbit" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>fitbit</span></a> <a href="https://flipping.rocks/tags/garmin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>garmin</span></a> <a href="https://flipping.rocks/tags/google" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>google</span></a> <a href="https://flipping.rocks/tags/watch" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>watch</span></a> <a href="https://flipping.rocks/tags/python" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>python</span></a> <a href="https://flipping.rocks/tags/api" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>api</span></a></p>
Arlin Schaffel<p><strong>Pebble is officially Pebble again</strong></p>image via theverge.com<blockquote><p>In 2016, Pebble was acquired by Fitbit for $23 million, marking the end of the first Pebble era. Along the way, Fitbit was acquired by Google. That’s important because the tech giant agreed to open-source Pebble’s software, and Migicovsky announced earlier this year that Pebble was making a comeback. However, because Migicovsky didn’t have the trademark, the new Pebble watches were initially dubbed the Core 2 Duo and the Core Time 2. “Great news — we’ve been able to recover the trademark for Pebble! Honestly, I wasn’t expecting this to work out so easily,” Core Devices CEO Eric Migicovsky writes in an update blog. “Core 2 Duo is now Pebble 2 Duo. Core Time 2 is now Pebble Time 2.”</p><p><a href="https://www.theverge.com/news/713931/pebble-smartwatch-name-trademark-recovered" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.theverge.com/news/713931/pebble-smartwatch-name-trademark-recovered</a></p></blockquote><p><a rel="nofollow noopener" class="hashtag u-tag u-category" href="https://arlin.org/tag/fitbit/" target="_blank">#fitbit</a> <a rel="nofollow noopener" class="hashtag u-tag u-category" href="https://arlin.org/tag/google/" target="_blank">#google</a> <a rel="nofollow noopener" class="hashtag u-tag u-category" href="https://arlin.org/tag/pebble/" target="_blank">#pebble</a> <a rel="nofollow noopener" class="hashtag u-tag u-category" href="https://arlin.org/tag/smart-watch/" target="_blank">#smartWatch</a></p>
Paco Hope #resist<p>Looking at getting a new smart watch and <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/amazfit" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>amazfit</span></a> has been touting AI in all their newer models. It looks like the “Bip5” is possibly too underpowered to run AI shit. So that’s the one for me.</p><p>Anybody have opinions?</p><p>I’m currently using a Garmin Forerunner 45S. It’s mostly fine. But battery life is less than a week. Often as little as 3 days. Its menus are cumbersome with 5 buttons on the side. The Amazfits look new, different, and not part of any major tech company (yet… that’s why I traded in my <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/FitBit" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FitBit</span></a> for a <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/Garmin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Garmin</span></a>)</p><p>Open to opinions. I don’t do massive workouts, I’m not looking for a nagbot or a training program. I just want stuff like heart rate, blood O2, step tracking, and basic connectivity to my iPhone (to see messages, buzz when the phone rings, etc).</p>

Anni<p>Onko olemassa hyvää ja sievää urheilukelloa hyvin siroranteiselle feminiiniselle ihmiselle? Minulla on ollut vuosia <a href="https://mastodontti.fi/tags/Fitbit" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Fitbit</span></a> (ensin Alta ja sitten Luxe), mutta nyt se on siirtynyt Googlelle ja kellokin sopivasti meni rikki. Kohan Ikin<p>Anyone else finding the new Cardio Load feature on <a href="https://mastodon.kohanikin.com/tags/Fitbit" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Fitbit</span></a> to be unhelpful - or even actively detrimental?</p><p>It warned me I was significantly overtraining, and suggested I ease off - to bedridden levels. Even my walk to the shops was considered "overtraining". So as part of this experiment, I stopped treadmill &amp; evening walks until it said to.</p><p>Now it's telling me I'm undertraining &amp; to do a 60-90 minute run today. Dude, it is literally 44 degrees, I'm not doing that.</p>
Sami Sundell<p>Fitbit support is so far completely useless, as they tend to be.
