The Hoiho or yellow-eyed <a href="https://mstdn.animexx.de/tags/penguin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>penguin</span></a> is an endemic species living at the southernmost edge of <a href="https://mstdn.animexx.de/tags/newzealand" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>newzealand</span></a> </p><p>There are about 2.400 adult birds and some of the couples do not want to raise their chicks. Therefore, the Kiwis operate a breeding center close to Dunedin.</p><p>The short clip shows some near adult Hoihos at the center.
