Two bobcats lounging in our back yard. They enjoyed it so much they were there for about an hour and a half. I missed them running off, but caught one of them sitting on the fence afterwards. #seattle #kirkland #nature

RELEASE: Greater Northshore and MEGAMAP versions 1.4.5.

Three changes. All apply to the MEGAMAP area, only one applies to Greater Northshore, and even that's in Seattle proper, that being a very much needed new greenway north of Lake City.

The Montlake Lid bike/ped bridge over 520 was supposed to be finished today, and it's not. Opening ceremony is tomorrow, and I'm confident it's close enough for that, but I also suspect there may be landscaping-driven closures.

Kirkland

Kirkland township, a region of Kendal, Cumbria, from the south of the Blindbeck stream. This was an independent settlement 'church land' which had its own manor court and was not officially absorbed into the borough of Kendal until 1908.

RELEASE: Greater Northshore and MEGAMAP versions 1.4.4.

It's a minor update: a correction to Seattle's map in the Greater Northshore printed area, removal of the construction warning in Bothell, and a MEGAMAP-only update to Montlake at SR-520.

I was really hoping that the Montlake Lid bike/ped bridge over 520 would be open before dropping this. But it's not, and isn't going to be open before or immediately after the election, so I've updated what I can to reflect what _is_ open.

I think this is what I'll do, I think it works.

Instead of the start date on the upper two warning signs, I've put "thru Spring 2024" as that's what Kirkland is saying.

On the southernmost warning sign, I've relabelled it "occasional" as there's still signs of construction. That's not road works, that's something off the road but with a gravel private roadway that goes down to the street. Honestly not sure what's up with it.

I brought 1.2L Liquid IV water, 4 gel packs, and 2 chocolate bars. At the end I consumed them all! I also gave myself plenty of breaks throughout (pictures/fueling/bathroom/getting lost), so the elapsed time was almost an hour more.

At the end I felt tired but not exhausted! Pretty sure I just need one day for break to come back running again! 🙂
