Tristan Colgate-McFarlane<p>Forest photography can be hard. Things are often messy. But what if the mess is the subject? (this shot was not intentional, I've no real clue what happened! I think its just wildly under exposed)</p><p><a href="https://toot.community/tags/BelieveInFilm" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BelieveInFilm</span></a> <a href="https://toot.community/tags/MPPMicroFlex" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MPPMicroFlex</span></a></p>

Tristan Colgate-McFarlane<p>There's not much to choose between the <a href="https://toot.community/tags/MinoltaAutocord" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MinoltaAutocord</span></a> and <a href="https://toot.community/tags/MPPMIcroFlex" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MPPMIcroFlex</span></a> lenses. Both lovely more than sharp enough for my eyes, and both give lovely focus fall off.</p><p><a href="https://toot.community/tags/BelieveInFilm" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BelieveInFilm</span></a> <a href="https://toot.community/tags/IlfordFP4" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>IlfordFP4</span></a> <a href="https://toot.community/tags/PyrocatHD" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>PyrocatHD</span></a></p>
Tristan Colgate-McFarlane<p>Travel camera downside of my <a href="https://toot.community/tags/MinoltaAutocord" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MinoltaAutocord</span></a> : the yashica wide angle adapter doesn't fit it (the viewing lens doesn't attach due to depth). It *does* fit the <a href="https://toot.community/tags/MPPMicroflex" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MPPMicroflex</span></a> , though loading that is a touch more stressful. May need to find an original minolta WA adapter</p>
Tristan Colgate-McFarlane<p>Just scanned the test roll from the <a href="https://toot.community/tags/MinoltaAutocord" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MinoltaAutocord</span></a>. Hard to tell as the weather was a bit dull, and I didn't get as good a variety of test pics. The lens is definitely more than sharp enough. Going on gut instinct, the <a href="https://toot.community/tags/MPPMicroflex" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MPPMicroflex</span></a> feels like it has better overall sharpness. The minolta taking lens could do with a clean.<br> Still lovely though, and that focusing lever is a dream (it's hard to go back to the knowledge focusing on the MPP</p><p><a href="https://toot.community/tags/BelieveInFilm" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BelieveInFilm</span></a></p>
Tristan Colgate-McFarlane<p>Some pictures from my trip to Richmond (to see The Shark is Broken, great fun). Tristan Colgate-McFarlane<p>I think flickr keeps photos at full res (vs the one I upload here that come via Google Photos). I've created an album of my <a href="https://toot.community/tags/MPPMicroFlex" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MPPMicroFlex</span></a> shots, some tests, some with more intent. Some use janky aux lenses. Fantastic camera with a great lens.</p><p><a href="https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjC3Mr3" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">flic.kr/s/aHBqjC3Mr3</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p><p><a href="https://toot.community/tags/BelieveInFilm" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BelieveInFilm</span></a></p>
Tristan Colgate-McFarlane<p>This is a quick invert of a badly scanned neg, but the <a href="https://toot.community/tags/MPPMicroflex" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MPPMicroflex</span></a> is looking good! Exposures are all good, and the lens seems great! </p><p><a href="https://toot.community/tags/believeinfilm" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>believeinfilm</span></a></p>
Tristan Colgate-McFarlane<p>Unfortunately the <a href="https://toot.community/tags/MPPMicroFlex" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MPPMicroFlex</span></a> packed in after 1 roll. Aperturejammed, and the shutter release became very Veryan unresponsive. I shall have to keep an eye out for another tlr (maybe a microcord mkii, or a minolta)</p>
Tristan Colgate-McFarlane<p>It's <a href="https://toot.community/tags/NewCameraDay" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>NewCameraDay</span></a>! (and New Camera Bag day!). This is an <a href="https://toot.community/tags/MPPMIcroFlex" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MPPMIcroFlex</span></a>, the successor to my old <a href="https://toot.community/tags/MPPMicrocord" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MPPMicrocord</span></a> , and the last MPP TLR after import duty on Rolleis was dropped around the mid 1950s. <br> Exactly as described by the vendor. Everything working, but speeds under 1/4s stick a bit.<br> Much improved from the microcord. Easier loading (no red window), better build, couple shutter (optional multiexposure), coupled aperture/shutter for EV. And the case front flap comes off. <a href="https://toot.community/tags/BelieveInFilm" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BelieveInFilm</span></a></p>
