lay:Sub“ erfolgreich getestet. Beide kostenpflichtig für 3,99 respektive 5,99. Beide liefen auf Anhieb und fehlerfrei. Mein Favorit ist eindeutig play:Sub mit (fast zu) großem Funktionsumfang. I use #Subsonic, but it connects to my @ampache server. I think there is an option to play downloaded songs. I used to use @powerampache Ampache.
@freaktechnik well this relies on last.fm data. I don't want to spend my time on this but feel free to add support.
Could be nice if the #subsonic api allowed to choose the service. Maybe we could use our own data provider and not follow their spec. I'm not sure about this.

@dandylover1 @FediTips it gets rid of the browser 'chroming' (the tabs, the headers, all the extension toolbar stuff) so you JUST have your app, acting like an app. It can be separately sized (without impacting what a new browser window will open as), separately iconified.
Take a music player - it isn't a web page. It is an app. It just happens to use web-tech. By installing it as a PWA, I can control where it goes, give it its own icon, and more, and THINK of it as an app, not a web page.
Here are two views of my own music player (a client for #Subsonic). One is a self-contained app interface. The other is...an annoying tab in my browser. Buried when I am in another tab, distracted by all the 'stuff' around it. Just...meh. If you want to keep to the tab, fine. But I find having an app be separate is more aesthetically pleasing.

Meine Musik zickt seit ein paar Tagen. Früher #subsonic, danach #airsonic, aktuell #airsonic-advanced.
Leider sind alle genannten Projekte tot. Forks und Alternativen gibts wie Sand am Meer, insbesondere mit dem subsonic Protokoll, welche davon hat sich

_ gegen die modernen Apps aus F-Droid_
_bei Euch bewährt_

Bitte nur Tipps über selbst genutzte Setups, spekulative Suchergebnisse helfen nicht.
Ich habe einen Ordner #Musik als FLAC auf meinem Server, alles selber eingelesene CDs, ein Großteil auch Aufnahmen vom "eigenen" Orchester.
Es ist echt ein Trauerspiel wenn man solche Musik verwalten und anhören möchte.
#Navidrome war der letzte Versuch, eine #Subsonic und Airsonic kompatibler Server, irgendwie bekommen meine Eltern 60+ das aber nicht hin mit der Benutzung. Wir haben in den letzten Jahren nichts gefunden, was einfach funktioniert hat wie Google #Music.
Was machen wir falsch?
Ich habe leider von sowas keine Ahnung, bin aber Techsavvy, kann also mit so ziemlich jeder App umgehen und habe es auch geschaft bei Navidrome mit #Ultrasonic die Musik offline hören zu können. Meine Eltern hingegen saßen dann immer mal wieder irgendwo und haben es nicht gepeilt wie man die Musik
1. Offline verfügbar machen kann.
2. Diese Musik dann wenn kein Internet verfügbar war auch anzuhören.
