"Bad Blood" by Taylor Swift

Listen on Apple Music (music.apple.com/us/album/bad-b)

Another song from my top played artist on my playlist over the course of the last several years is Bad Blood by Taylor Swift. This is a song that I'll be singing all day when it plays, as it's just catchy, has a great beat to it and just overall a really good song. The video is absolutely awesome as well in my opinion.

[Chorus]
'Cause, baby, now we got bad blood
You know it used to be mad love
So take a look what you've done
'Cause, baby, now we got bad blood, hey
Now we got problems
And I don't think we can solve them
You made a really deep cut
And, baby, now we got bad blood, hey

[Verse 1]
Did you have to do this?
I was thinking that you could be trusted
Did you have to ruin
What was shiny? Now it's all rusted
Did you have to hit me
Where I'm weak? Baby, I couldn't breathe
And rub it in so deep
Salt in the wound like you're laughin' right at me

[Pre-Chorus]
Oh, it's so sad to
Think about the good times
You and I

"Change (Taylor’s Version)" by Taylor Swift

Listen on Apple Music (music.apple.com/us/album/chang)

What's your favorite song about change?

I don't know if it's my favorite song about change, but it's the first song about change that comes to mind. It's from my most played artist each and every year, Taylor Swift and the name of the song is simply Change!

[Verse 1]
And it's a sad picture, the final blow hits you
Somebody else gets what you wanted again and
You know it's all the same, another time and place
Repeating history and you're getting sick of it
But I believe in whatever you do
And I'll do anything to see it through

[Chorus]
Because these things will change
Can you feel it now?
These walls that they put up to hold us back will fall down
This revolution, the time will come
For us to finally win
And we'll sing hallelujah, we'll sing hallelujah
Oh, oh

[Verse 2]
So we've been outnumbered, raided, and now, cornered
It's hard to fight when the fight ain’t fair
We're getting stronger now, find things they never found
They might be bigger but we're faster and never scared
You can walk away, say we don't need this
But there's something in your eyes says we can beat this

Last night, I had a dream that Taylor Swift bought the state of Texas. The whole state. Then she decided that she didn't like the location and wanted to move it to the Canadian border. So she had the entire state lifted up and put on tank treads, and started driving it north to put it between Montana and the Dakotas. How it was going to fit was unknown. 1/2

Britney Spears took over pop radio in the late 1990s and early 2000s. In Nora Princiotti’s new book, “Hit Girls: Britney, Taylor, Beyoncé, and the Women Who Built Pop’s Shiniest Decade,” the author explains how Spears also defined and inspired a generation of female pop icons. Here’s an excerpt from The Ringer:

Taylor Swift has bought back the rights to her first six albums for an undisclosed sum. They had been owned by Shamrock Capital, a private equity company, since 2020. Here's @abc's story about how Swift lost the rights to her music, why she began rerecording her back catalog, and what will happen to the "Taylor's Version" project now.
