Raccoon🏳️‍🌈<p>Thinking about the tiny crowd sizes at <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Trump" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Trump</span></a> rallies, compared to the massive size of <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Harris" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Harris</span></a> rallies, I don't think it's a good indicator of <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/VoterTurnout" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>VoterTurnout</span></a>: it just means is that his cult of personality has shrunk to the point that fewer people are clamoring to see him. If we compare it with the <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/polls" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>polls</span></a>, it means most people who say they plan to <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/vote" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>vote</span></a> for him who are no longer engaged enough to see him. </p><p>This feels like a reflection of a bigger problem that we've had trying to get some democratic solution to <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/DonaldTrump" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DonaldTrump</span></a>: so many of his voters are completely unengaged with every part of the system. They are impossible to reach or argue with because they don't leave the house or ask questions, and when you do get to talk about politics with them, they're immersed in <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/misinformation" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>misinformation</span></a> and conspiracy theories, or have simply decided all <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/politicians" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>politicians</span></a> are equally corrupt and don't see a point.</p><p>They're not just a <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/SilentMajority" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SilentMajority</span></a>, they're what <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/SerjTankian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SerjTankian</span></a> called the "<a href="https://techhub.social/tags/UnthinkingMajority" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>UnthinkingMajority</span></a>".</p>
