This is the "hall". All of it. I had my back against the mixing desk taking this picture!
Going to see a very loud band in a very tiny venue. What could possibly go wrong.

Still Clean
It’s Tuesday. The mold was cleaned off of my guitar amplifier on Sunday and it still looks clean. Another day sans-mold.

Success, I Think
Go back in time two posts and look at the picture I shared of my Fender Bassbreaker 18/30 amplifier with something that appears to be mold covering the imitation tweed. I don’t know where that came from. I don’t know why it’s on that amplifier but not on either of the other two Bassbreaker products I own (the Bassbreaker15 watt amp and the 1×12 extension speaker cabinet).
It’s gross.
I found a post on reddit that suggested using white vinegar to clean off whatever that mold looking shit is. I guess mold growing on tweed amps is a thing? I’ll share a screen shot of the post here:
I went grocery shopping today and picked up a bottle of white vinegar. I just finished sponging off the amp and it looks like it worked. I am mostly pleased with the results. The only negative I can see at this point (assuming whatever that shit was doesn’t just grow back immediately) is that now my amp smells like vinegar… and so does my cellar… and so do I. Oh well.
It looks good so far though.

Amp switcher: control matrix design

Now for the final part of the design phase: the command PCB!
The idea here is to provide a simple way to select the amplifier to be used, so a rotary switch feels like the best solution. As I don't want to bother with a power switch, I also decided the 1st position will act as an OFF position.

It's that time again where my brain needs a new, different project
But first, a bit of background story: I've been playing music, and mostly guitar, for over 3 decades now. Being quite a nerd, at some point I started looking into guitar-related electronics, and eventually fell down the "tube amplifiers" rabbit hole.
I grew passionate about tube amps and even built my own; most were sold over the years but I still have a few, and recently bought a couple new ones.

New Gear Day 2 guitars (LTD Phoenix, PRS SE 277) + 1 amp (Peavey 6505 MH) just showed up!
You can probably tell I won't be playing jazz with those

Ooh, that looks like an easy one to fix. Don't need any other projects though, and no time.
1. Check for leaky caps... probably just replace them all.
2. Check all the transistors... if any are blown, replace with closest modern equivalent
3. Fix any resistors which may have blown due to #1, and also fuses.
4. Clean potentiometers, also likely dirty.

The amp uses the SGVU151 kit and IN-13 tubes. The audio part uses the ELA21306 board, as its power matches the speakers I want to use. It's okay for the moment, but I might swap if for something better if I want to revisit this project one day.

The clock : it uses german Z5600M tubes and 4 small neon lamps, the brains are an Arduino UNO R4 Wifi with the Arduinix (http://www.arduinix.com/) shield. It connects to my Wifi Accesspoint on startup and every friday to (re)synchronize. If you power it up while pressing the button, it will create an access point and a webpage, from which you can set up your local wifi info.
