CCO ArchitectsShaped as four individual clusters of culture, the community house unites the entire local community under one roof. Much like a box of wonders, the community house presents multiple cultural activities, organized in a wealth of spaces and functions that strengthen learning within the fields of music, technology, creativity, and movement. In the community house, a daycare is seamlessly integrated into the learning environment, giving the children a sense of belonging early on. Thus, in the community house, individual experiences can flow together, creating synergy and fostering creativity for citizens regardless of age, gender, and culture.<br> <br> Created in collaboration with Kjaer &amp; Ricter Architects, AFRY, and C.C. CCO ArchitectsOdsherred Theatre is like a lantern – black and dark on the outside with shiny, golden reflections within. The main façade is partly wavy black terracotta tiles that are reminiscent of a stage curtain. Large windows allow people who pass by to look into the theatre and follow the everyday life in a laboratory of performance. CCO ArchitectsThe newest addition to Mungo Park Theatre breathes life into the city center of Allerød and will be the face of the theatre to the outside world. The square theatre building features a dynamic façade that enhances the visibility of the theatre’s activities. The façade is wooden and organized into modules, which gives the building a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The calm exterior of the building excites curiosity, allowing the inside of the theatre to remain a secret until one enters the house. In the façade, vertical strips of light glow in the dark, as if the theatre’s life is flowing out through cracks in the building.<br> <br> Created in collaboration with Sweco, Lassen Landskab, Artelia, Gade &amp; Mortensen Akustik, and Stouenborg<br> <br> Images by <a class="u-url mention" href="https://pixelfed.social/niels_nygaard" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@niels_nygaard</a><br> <br> <br> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/ccoarchitects?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#ccoarchitects</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/architecture?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#architecture</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/scandinaviandesign?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#scandinaviandesign</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/architectanddesign?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#architectanddesign</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/danisharchitecture?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#danisharchitecture</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/photography?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#photography</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/architecturephotography?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#architecturephotography</a>

CCO ArchitectsThe building for Life Science and Bioengineering is the largest project since the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) was inaugurated in the 1960s. The Biosphere is the heart of the building, and the 13-meter-tall atrium forms an exciting center for encounters between scientists, employees, and students across floors. The thousands of oak lamellas translate the golden hue of the façade into an inner texture, which reflects the professions of biology and nature. At the same time, the oak lamellas mirror the unique nature-rich surroundings and symbolize the grove of oak trees that once were located on the site of building B202.<br> <br> Created in collaboration with Rørbæk &amp; Møller Architects, Schul Landscape Architects, COWI, and Norconsult.<br> <br> Images by Adam Mørk.<br> <br> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/ccoarchitects?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#ccoarchitects</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/architecture?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#architecture</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/scandinaviandesign?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#scandinaviandesign</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/architectanddesign?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#architectanddesign</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/danisharchitecture?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#danisharchitecture</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/photography?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#photography</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/architecturephotography?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#architecturephotography</a>

CCO ArchitectsYouth Housing Nansensgade is designed as a co-living space for socially vulnerable young people, that as part of a rehabilitation program with the Municipality of Copenhagen, are in training for living alone. The young people live in the apartments by themselves but are in close contact with the social workers from the municipality, which is located further down the street. In that way, the residents will receive help on how to establish routines that support everyday life so that they eventually can live by themselves. Initiatives supporting the individual’s learning skills and independence are integrated into the building.<br> <br> Created in collaboration with Rambøll<br> <br> Images by <a class="u-url mention" href="https://pixelfed.social/niels_nygaard" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@niels_nygaard</a><br> <br> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/ccoarchitects?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#ccoarchitects</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/architecture?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#architecture</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/scandinaviandesign?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#scandinaviandesign</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/architectanddesign?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#architectanddesign</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/danisharchitecture?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#danisharchitecture</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/photography?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#photography</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/architecturephotography?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#architecturephotography</a>

CCO ArchitectsNordøstamager School in Copenhagen is an open and inviting house, where every inch of the architecture offers spaces for learning. A central feature of the school is the leisure zone, which we have weaved into the fabric of the city by letting the school’s architecture melt with the surrounding area. The zone has multiple functions that invite by-passers to interact with the school. Towards the street, we have designed the building as community spaces with large staircases that function as both seating plateaus and workout spaces, as well as a gymnasium, workshops, maker spaces, and an auditorium that are open to the community after school hours.<br> <br> Created in collaboration with Kjaer &amp; Richer Architects, NCC, 1:1 Landscape, Lyngkilde Engineers, and Sori Engineers.<br> <br> Images by <a class="u-url mention" href="https://pixelfed.social/niels_nygaard" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@niels_nygaard</a><br> <br> <br> <br> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/ccoarchitects?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#ccoarchitects</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/architecture?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#architecture</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/scandinaviandesign?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#scandinaviandesign</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/architectanddesign?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#architectanddesign</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/danisharchitecture?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#danisharchitecture</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/photography?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#photography</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/architecturephotography?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#architecturephotography</a>
CCO ArchitectsIn 2011, one of Denmark’s most iconic cultural venues burnt to the ground. Since 1938, the K.B. Hall has been a driving force behind some of Copenhagen’s most significant concerts and events. The new hall shares the architectural DNA of the burned-down K.B. Hall. <br> <br> We recreated and reinterpreted the special identity of the event hall. The hall is revived in a contemporary architectural interpretation based on three principles: the Gable, the Disk, and the Arch.<br> <br> Created in collaboration with Marianne Levinsen Landscape and Rambøll<br> <br> Photos by Adam Mørk<br> <br> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/ccoarchitects?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#ccoarchitects</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/architecture?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#architecture</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/scandinaviandesign?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#scandinaviandesign</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/architectanddesign?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#architectanddesign</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/danisharchitecture?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#danisharchitecture</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/photography?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#photography</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/architecturephotography?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#architecturephotography</a>
