nextGEMS🌍 Experience the Hamburg node at the WCRP Global KM-Scale Hackathon 2025 🎥🗓️ In May, over 600 scientists and researchers joined forces across 10 global locations to take part in the first-ever global climate modelling <a href="https://fediscience.org/tags/hackathon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#hackathon</a>, organized by the World Climate Research Programme and supported by initiatives like WarmWorld, EERIE I European Eddy-Rich Earth System Models, Destination Earth, ESMO, and <a href="https://fediscience.org/tags/nextGEMS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#nextGEMS</a>.🇩🇪 One of the largest nodes was hosted by the <a href="https://wisskomm.social/@MPI_Meteo" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@MPI_Meteo</a> in Hamburg📍 , where more than 120 participants from around the world came together. Soh Kam YungThe future may be much hotter. Newer climate modelling taking into account the clouds indicate the future could be much hotter, because the clouds could disappear.
