Cazimodo Creative<p>Good morning everyone 🌞 It looks like the sun is trying to come out today after a lot of rain overnight. The <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/parrots" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>parrots</span></a> are all munching First Breakfast after Ziggy came out long enough for me to take her to the couch, her to wrestle a cardboard tube from her toy box to the floor and then for her to demand I take her back to her cage 😊 She is currently at her wet food bowl making little growls of pleasure as she finds the bits she likes. She's become really good at going to that bowl first now, while Jadie, of course, continues to ignore hers. I have even tried putting black grapes, her absolutely favourite fruit, into it, but all to no avail. To start your morning here is a photo of Jadie rocking the punk look after having a bath in her water bowl the other day 😊 As you can see she is quite capable of using her ropes to access her bowls if she wants to - she just chooses not to when it comes to her food. We spray the parrots with a warm misting spray every two days. Ziggy generally has a bath in her water bowl every time. Cazimodo Creative<p>Good morning everyone 🌻 Long lie for me today as Grant is going out on an <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/RSPB" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RSPB</span></a> work party at the local wetlands this morning. It's a lovely, bright day for it right enough. He told me that Jadie hasn't been eating this morning, but then I saw he had put a load of pomegranate seeds in her bowl. I removed them and she's eating fine now. Jadie is such a special <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/parrot" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>parrot</span></a>, being a rescue, and you have to be so careful with her food or she will just refuse to eat. I think her beak is still a little sensitive too after being shaped yesterday. The vet said the scissor bit may have been digging into her tongue a little so they had to trim it right down. She's happily doing "Pchew! Pchew! Cazimodo Creative<p>Good Moo everyone 🌞 Ziggy had a long hand cuddle with me this morning, to the point where I started to get pins and needles in my fingers. She likes to tuck herself up like that with her head upside down and makes little purring noises of contentment 😊 Now all of the <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/parrots" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>parrots</span></a> are munching happily away with Ziggy definitely going to her veggie bowl more often now and declaring that it is "good!". I made some fresh chop and red pepper hummus for them yesterday and I think she is quite keen on the hummus. I still can't get Jadie to go near her wet bowl though. Grant likes to have a snooze on the couch after he has cleaned and fed them, and the crew apparently take objection to this; well the Hahns Macaws anyway. The socket it was plugged into doesn't seem to be working, but when I moved the kettle to another one it did turn on, but the plug was very hot, so I think it might have tripped the other plug. I'll check when it gets a bit lighter. I managed to make a <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/coffee" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>coffee</span></a>, but thinking we may need another kettle, or an electrician, or both!</p><p>Hoping to have another <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/CrochetDay" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CrochetDay</span></a> today and hopefully finish up the <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/crochet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>crochet</span></a> kids' drawing toy I am working on. It's a beautiful crispy morning so he should have a good walk. I stayed in bed for a bit, but I couldn't go back to sleep so eventually gave up and got up. I've been slower relisting this year to manage the pace a bit more as it was pretty full on last year and I didn't have time for much of anything else. I ordered some yarn which I thought was the same colour as the one I am using and running out of, but it appears to be completely different. That's the problem with yarn with no ball band and Internet shopping - the photos seem to match, but in reality they are nowhere near. Or maybe I am just really bad at colour matching by sight 😂 So I am going to have to get creative again and eke out the remaining yarn as best I can. I started off today by dropping Ziggy's food bowl all over the floor and having to clean up the mess and get her new food all while three hungry <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/parrots" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>parrots</span></a> were yelling at me for not being quick enough to get them their breakfast 🙂 Also, due to the delay, the baby food I had warmed up just as Ziggy likes it (it's how I get her to take medicine) had cooled down so she refused to take her pain meds. She tucks her head right into my hand and makes little purring noises of content. When she's in the mood she can sit like this for ages, until my hand falls asleep and my arm feels like it is going to drop off. Up late today as Grant is heading out for an RSPB work party and got up for the <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/parrots" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>parrots</span></a>. </p><p>I dreamt that a huge asteroid called Xerxes was heading towards the Earth and I was on a mixed team of lay people and scientists trying to find a way to divert it. I had to go see a founding scientist, a grand old lady called Ariagne. When I got out of the car I tried to put on my shoes, which were like old style school shoes, but there were dozens of pairs in the footwell all in different states of aging, some literally falling apart they were that old. I am currently listening, and falling asleep to 😉, Welcome to the Universe, and am on the bit about Einstein's theories and Quantum Mechanics. He's so different to the Hahns Macaws. Docile and easy to get in and out of the travel cage. Ziggy especially is prone to escape when the vet tries to towel her. I've seen us chasing her around the surgery room a few times 😂 The vet just laughs. I think he has a real soft spot for Hahns Macaws. Ziggy sat with me for a good long cuddle today, tucked under my chin making her little purring noises, which was lovely as we fell out last night with her biting my ear when I was trying to clean inside their cages, plucking, and then blaming me and biting me again. You get days like that with <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/parrots" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>parrots</span></a>. Like humans they have moods and sometimes they are in a bad mood. The nice thing is that you start each day fresh and all grumpiness of the previous day is gone.
