Q2: How has your making got you in trouble? It's ok, we won't tell anyone. Just ignore the microphone...

Q3: Tell me, how have you gotten your own back through making? Practical jokes and Halloween most definitely count.

Q4: Has your making ever got you OUT of trouble? Maybe you sewed the split inseam of your trousers JUST IN TIME or being a dab-hand with a soldering iron has fixed the thing JUST IN TIME?

Q5: "There's nowt so permanent as a temporary fix" goes the adage. What bodge of yours' remains?

A3: YES! It makes a difference in my world. Having a project, whether it’s making, repairing, restoring, tinkering or any of the other bits I do is my sanctuary. It’s my happy place where I can zone out the world around me and 🎶forget about your worries and your strife 🎶.

It’s so good for my Mental Health.

#MakersHour Q3: Do you believe that your creative work can make a difference in the world or in your world? If so, how?

My friend's mum loved to knit but her hands didn't do the work post-apoplex and she was so upset about it. I'm a loom knitter with Cerebral Palsy who can't use needles. So we had a few video calls with me demonstrating how to operate a hook and a loom with 'unwilling' hands and do socks. Friend's mum actively knitting again because of thinking outside the box.
