Blake Patterson<p>My 20 year old, 60lb, 19-inch Sony CPD-G420 Trinitron CRT is so incredibly sharp -- I just love this display. (It's in use dual-input on my AMD 5x86 and Amiga 2000 (as a second display).)</p><p><a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/CRT" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>CRT</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/display" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>display</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/monitor" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>monitor</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/notLCD" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>notLCD</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/Sony" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Sony</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/VGA" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>VGA</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/scanlines" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>scanlines</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/trinitron" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>trinitron</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/DOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DOS</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/DOSgaming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DOSgaming</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/Amiga" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Amiga</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/PC" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>PC</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/vintagecomputing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>vintagecomputing</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/retrocomputing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>retrocomputing</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/vintagetech" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>vintagetech</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/tech" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>tech</span></a></p>

Steven<p>Hasan on a Trinitron. lol</p><p>I took this yesterday. I like keeping Twitch going on this Sony KV-9PT50 TV throughout the day. The tube is fine, the geometry is messed up because its just AV out from my phone. Works for me. 🤷 😅 <br><a href="https://bitbang.social/tags/Sony" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Sony</span></a> <a href="https://bitbang.social/tags/Trinitron" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Trinitron</span></a> <a href="https://bitbang.social/tags/CRT" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>CRT</span></a> <a href="https://bitbang.social/tags/Twitch" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Twitch</span></a></p>
lori<p>I forget if I asked Fedi for help with this in the past and if I did I completely forgot everything about it so it might as well be a new question.</p><p>I have a Sony Trinitron CRT that has a really bad green bleed at the bottom. Is there anything I can do to remedy this as someone who does not know how to open a CRT up without electrocuting themselves?</p><p>I finally also grabbed the model number which I've been meaning to do for a while. Would really love to not have to ask reddit. Boosts welcome, I know a lot of people here work on these kinds of things.</p><p><a href="https://hackers.town/tags/retrogaming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>retrogaming</span></a> <a href="https://hackers.town/tags/crt" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>crt</span></a> <a href="https://hackers.town/tags/crts" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>crts</span></a> <a href="https://hackers.town/tags/gaming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>gaming</span></a> <a href="https://hackers.town/tags/retro" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>retro</span></a> <a href="https://hackers.town/tags/trinitron" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>trinitron</span></a></p>
Steven<p>the USB C to A/V cable came today. Trinitron back in business as a retro, vapor aesthetic, video jukebox.😅</p><p>The audio is just what the mic picked up from the TV itself. It honestly doesn't sound half bad in person and can go way louder than it should be able to. lol <br><a href="https://bitbang.social/tags/video" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>video</span></a> <a href="https://bitbang.social/tags/trinitron" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>trinitron</span></a> <a href="https://bitbang.social/tags/sony" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>sony</span></a> <a href="https://bitbang.social/tags/vaporwave" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>vaporwave</span></a></p>
