A couple of images from the recent aurora sequence.

An aurora fills the night sky in the upper 2 thirds, smooth water reflecting the colours in the foreground. An embankment with a few trees in silhouette to the right, a stone groyne and warning light at left. The aurora is banded horizontally, green close to the horizon, a pastel red and lighter pink above; and also vertically with columns appearing in the colour. One column has a more blue violet shade in this image.
A later image in the aurora sequence, with 2 blue tinged columns at the left, one directly above the blue warning light. 2 strikingly brighter and larger width in the centre, and faded thinner columns to the right in shades of pastel red

@elfod Many thanks. I generally want the most southern view, which means pointing at the sky about midway between the south celestial pole and the horizon. The Southern Cross, Coal Sack and Eta Carinae are always close by.
