Please add descriptions to your images.
There are visually impaired users floating about the federverse and they deserve descriptions.
A simple description of "airplane" or "cute Kitty" is sufficient. You can do more if you like, but at least add a succinct, basic description if possible.

@alice You can add it to the end of a toot or if on Mastodon there are ways to add an image description when posting a toot (click the text box when hovering over the picture icon i think).

@neven subway Tooter definitely supports it if you click on the image thumbnail when composing a post.
maight be the same in tootdon?
