In my opinion, #DP is one of the best #kdrama shows out there. The action and the storylines are so gritty and nobody/nowhere is made "pretty" in the show. It's my understanding that a lot of overdue changes happened in the Korean military as a direct result of response to this show.
Different genres/styles but you and your partner might both like to watch #Misty and/or #DesignatedSurvivor60days, both of which feature drop-dead gorgeous #JiJinHee, also in #RomanceInTheHouse

Watching #DP with my partner, and wow is Jung Hae In different in this than in #LoveNextDoor. Yes it is a very different genre, but I am still surprised by how good he is in such different ways. DP is really powerful. Not my usual choice, but I am glad we chose to watch it. #KDrama

No idea what "weekenders of dailies" are but the longest series I've watched was 21 episodes. I see that some of the historical shows have many more episodes than that, which doesn't appeal to me much right now.
There are several newer ones with multiple seasons. With one like #DP, each series was only 6 episodes so I binged the whole thing in 2 days. Some like 9-tailed seem to take quite a different approach with a second season.

@Hanktank@mastodon.social @templarknight@ieji.de @whoosh@techhub.social @KDramaQn@ottawa.place If you haven't already watched it, #DP is an amazing show (2 seasons, 12 episodes total) about the military officers who pursue deserters. 2-3 episodes took place at the DMZ and those were pretty horrifying.

Finished DP Part 2, not gonna lie, I never really understood the appeal of the DP series, I just found it hard to remember everyone.

It wasn't bad, it just wasn't my cup of tea. The underlying message that the system is terrible is great though.

(general thoughts on episode 3 or 4 of DP Part 2 below)
