The Tabernas Desert Badlands today. Stunning scenery and nice 18C temps for hiking. I love it here!
Santa Elena Canyon, Big Bend National Park, Texas
Winter is a great season for visiting Big Bend National Park. It borders Mexico for 118 miles along the Rio Grande. A favorite destination is the mouth of Santa Elena Canyon, where the river exits the steep walls of the picturesque canyon.
Up close, the sheer cliff plunges into the river, leaving no room for a riverbank.
Interesting interview with Pradip Krishen on WhatsApp it takes to do #ecologicalrestoration well, especially in challenging ecosystems like #deserts #aridareas and in the Ridge and #aravalliforest of #NewDelhi.

Photos from the Tabernas desert badlands hike I did a few days ago. The whole area is a a chaotic mass of broken rock and battered, crumbling cliffs
Today I hiked in a place close to my heart and stood in the exact same footsteps as Clint Eastwood and Eli Wallach in "The Good, the Bad & the Ugly". This view never fails to stir the senses, I love it here. Tabernas Desert, Almeria, #Spain.
We are exploring the state of Utah for the next few days. Indy is with us and experiencing all of nature's glory with all of his senses.

Me and the @druid went to #Abergavenny today.
It was far too #peoply.
Don't these people have other places to go to?
Poor things, they mostly looked lost.
Anyway, much mooching occurred and a few quality items have been acquired for the good of posterity...
You can never have enough old fashioned glass #jelly moulds, just in case I was forced to cater for 356 young people with a dire need for #wobbly and #fruity #deserts.
It could happen...best to be prepared.
