Wheel of Life Thangka

I think some of the most profound teachings of later Buddhism are delineated in this painting, both art and a mnemonic device. But you'd have to look it up to see what's going on. The wheel is turning and it won't slow down.

Got to see the Susan #Wick exhibit, a local Denver artist, and the most extraordinary traveling exhibit Kent Monkman’s History is Painted by the Victors at the #DenverArtMuseum If you have a chance to see it near you, make the effort! He’s from the #Cree tribe, and his paintings disrupt the narrative of what North Americans are taught about the conquest of the indigenous, and the repression of #TwoSpirit culture. And it is unbelievably beautiful.
