"Sex and Candy" is a song by American #alternativeRock group #MarcyPlayground, a single from their 1997 self-titled debut album. It is a #postgrunge song with #psychedelic elements. Lead singer #JohnWozniak was inspired to write the song after a woman told him that a room smelled like "sex and candy." The song's abstract lyrics refer to the #disco era and include #hippie lingo. Had a person recommend to me #Oceansize band last weekend, and just now getting around to listening and man - they weren't kidding. I'm getting #mogwai vibes for sure (they said Oceansize was influenced a lot by Mogwai) but also getting a tinge of #RATM and others. They are filed under #postgrunge which is interesting. All in all - great band - highly recommended.
