Ahhh.... this time last month, I was exploring #Taipei for the first time. Such a fun time.

Home and unpacked. Am in dire need of some sleep but my goal is to up and away from my bed until 9pm. Absolutely lovely to arrive back to a London bathed in sunshine. Keeps the holiday vibe going a little longer...

Gah. Horrid night of barely any sleep due to ambient noise in the hotel. Turns out our room backed onto the lifts. Then alarm at 5am

Thankfully, I’ve nothing but a 14hr flight ahead of me today, so hopefully I can catch up on some sleep then.

But first: all the coffee ️

Our last night in #Japan, for a while at least. Staying at the airport hotel in Haneda as we have such an early start tomorrow morning.

So no temptation to have “just one more” in Ni-Chome and fly home feeling like death. I’m looking forward to “Dry May” as soon as I get home…

Packing for our return journey to London

I'm approaching that stage in the trip when I'm looking forward to sleeping in my own bed again. I mean, I *adore* Tokyo, but I haven't been in my own bed since April 10th. So it'll be nice to get home again on Monday. I'll still miss Japan like crazy, but I'll sleep a lot better.

Just had a nice mooch around #UenoPark and now heading back to the hotel for a restorative soak in the sento and a session in the sauna. Then a disco nap and another evening in Ni-Chome.

Just had the most gorgeous wander around the beautiful #RikugienGardens. A veritable riot of colour.

I *may* have had one too many beers out on the town last night. But it was epic fun so I’ll take the consequences.

Last full day in #Tokyo today. Going to take it easy and enjoy some tranquil Japanese gardens later.

Enjoying a Sakura-tinged night out in #ShinjukuNiChome

I’m half-way through a wonderful soak and sauna session here in #Tokyo. But now it’s time for some Japanese curry and a beer.

Then back to the hard work of lying around naked in pools of hot water until every fibre of my being is completely relaxed.

We’re out in Jiyūgaoka this evening, meeting a local friend for dinner. I see a mountain of delicious sushi in my future

Visit to the onsen has been rescheduled to tomorrow. It’s just too nice outside, so we’re going to enjoy the sunshine in the park instead

Last night was tremendous fun but probably far too late lol. I snapped this on the walk home from Shinjuku Ni-Chome at about 2:30am, just like I did back in November last year.

In the early hours of the morning, these lights stand out in Shinjuku like something from a film set.

Some #Tokyo loveliness

About to head out for a walk from Shinjuku to Shibuya. The weather looks great. And it’s our favourite walk to take together when we visit Tokyo. Taking in Yoyogi Park and Harajuku on the way.

First evening out in #ShinjukuNiChome and of course there was karaoke. And of course I did. And of course it was “Diamonds are Forever” because I’m nothing if not predictable.

Back in Tokyo!
