Finally, let's say you want to plan your next bike trip with #uMap from Parc Jean-Drapeau to a popular view point of Mont-Royal stopping by Parc Lafontaine and Lac aux Castors, use the new routing icon and there we go. The icing on the cake 
, is to ask for elevations and display the elevation graph at the end (see previous toot) to know when your legs will suffer the most!
Another example, this time to setup a route from a GPX file with elevation graph. The GPX file is dropped on an empty #uMap map and the the large popup with a Route template is applied to the imported line (see how you can track the current elevation hovering the graph

Does anyone know a umap instance that has openrailway map as layer or a layer that makes railway lines very visible?
Ich war auf der Suche nach einem Online-#Kartendienst, den man kollaborativ zur #Reiseplanung nutzen kann. Ein kurzer Versuch, das Ganze mit #Mapstr zu realisieren, war nach 5 Minuten beendet, denn in der Desktop-Version kann man in der kostenlosen Variante keine POIs anlegen. Das geht nur auf dem Smartphone. Ich frage mich ja, wer auf solch kleinen Displays und ohne Tastatur ernsthaft eine seriöse Tourplanung machen kann. Ich jedenfalls nicht --> Account war also nach 5 Minuten wieder gelöscht.
Turns out: Natürlich gibt es da auch etwas von #OpenStreetMap: #uMap
Und das funktioniert so, wie man das erwartet. Gutes UI, intuitiv bedienbar, benutzbare Shortcuts und die Features, die man braucht. Ich kann den Dienst nur empfehlen!

Importer des données avec overpass turbo depuis openstreetmap pour créer ses propres cartes dans umap ou autres.

J'essaye de charger un ensemble de points dans un calque #UMap, environ 900, avec un CSV a de nombreuses colonnes qui pèse 1,5Mo.
Je m’aperçois que ça fait ramer fortement n'importe quel ordi, parce que ça consomme une quantité de RAM énorme (au moins 8-10Go a priori) côté navigateur.
Y-a-t-il des astuces pour réduire ce problème ?
Découper l'ensemble en plusieurs bouts ?
Supprimer des colonnes inutiles ?
Un problème de perf de Umap ?

Playing around with Organic Maps, it appears to fail to calculate a route across an area where only the World Map is installed, even though there is a motorways across the missing area, and the world map includes motorways. It simply stops calculating after asking to download an inbetween map.
Let's say someone is planning a vacation trip from Copenhagen to Rome. Needing to download only the Copenhagen and Rome maps would make a huge difference in both space and download size compared to downloading every map along the route. And such trips are usually done on motorways anyway.

Im Prinzip ist es einfach nur eine etwas nettere Ansicht (mit #uMap, cooles Tool) für den Kalender vom CSD Deutschland eV, mit ner Farbcodierung wie lange es noch zu den CSDs ist.
Für Feedback oder Tipps wo ich sie teilen kann wäre ich dankbar, würde mich freuen wenn sie Leuten was nützt :)
Ah ja, die Liste selbst und meine fürchtelbaren Skripte sind natürlich open-source :D
