Lomochrome Color '92 has been said to mimic the look of color negative film that has been poorly stored and developed at a poor photo lab from the early 1990s. From what I've seen, that comparison fits my experience.

I took it for a hike in Split, up the Marjan Hill and here are some of the pictures I took that afternoon.

If you're looking for a color film stock that faithfully reproduces the colors and tones of real life, this isn't the right choice. Using this film means embracing the unexpected, with unusual color shifts, peculiar textures, and prominent grain.

To fully enjoy LomoChrome '92, you'll have to let go of some creative control, and I'm for it!

Sometimes, the expired film I get on eBay doesn't work as I expected it to. And this Fujicolor NPH400 roll is a good example of a colorful failure.

I used this film roll while I was in Supetar, and I had some kind of good expectations for this film, but… As you can see here, it was a complete failure in every way possible. It happens.

While visiting Split, I explored the neighborhood of Split 3, known for its striking brutalist architecture from the 1970s and 1980s, reflecting the city's communist past.

I used Cinestill 50D film for the first time while walking around, and despite my initial concerns about the low ISO, the sunny weather in Croatia made it a perfect choice.

One of the films I wanted to use during my days in Split was a LomoChrome Turquoise that I got from the people at #Lomography to test and write an article about. I have used this film before and loved its weird colors and tones, but I have never used it in a travel scene before.

The LomoChrome Turquoise features a unique chemical formula that produces fascinating turquoise tones, surreal skies, and striking blue skin tones for everyone.

One of the highlights of my time in Croatia was taking a ferry from Split to Supetar, where I visited a vibrant beach. Unfortunately, my pictures don’t reflect it because I used heavily expired film.

I brought two film cameras on the trip and was curious about how one would perform with the expired film, but it turned out just fine!

You might remember this angle from a picture I posted a while back. It's the view from inside the Vestibule inside the Diocletian's Palace, looking up at the Cathedral of Saint Domnius in Split. This time, it comes in pure photography film magic.

The Vestibule, also known as the Rotunda or the Atrium, is the initial section of the imperial corridor in Diocletian's Palace, located in the old town of Split. This area connects to the Peristyle, which served as the formal entrance to the imperial apartments.

Standing tall in Nardoni Trg, this clock tower boasts an impressive 1,700 years of history. Visitors can climb a steep stairway for stunning views of the Old Town and its vibrant crowds.

I shot these photos using the Wolfen Cine UN54 film for the first time, and I'm pleased with the results. Can't wait to use it again!

One of the unique places I wanted to visit in Split is the neighborhood known as Split 3. This residential district is situated on the southeast side of the city and is characterized by its distinctive brutalist-style buildings.

This large concrete complex was built in the 1970s and 1980s when Croatia was still part of Yugoslavia. Today, it symbolizes the city’s communist past.

While walking there, I used a Cinestill 50D, which was my first time using this film. I was afraid of using a film with such low ISO, but the days in Croatia were so sunny that I knew it would all work out.

While reviewing my pictures from Split, I noticed many images of clothing hanging out to dry. Over the centuries, the ancient Diocletian Palace has transformed into a living monument. As you wander through the old city center, you can see how people live there.

Remarkably, what began as a memorial palace for a Roman emperor has become one of the most captivating places I've ever visited.

One of the best things I did during my time in Croatia was take a ferry from Split to Supetar. There, I went to one of the most colorful beaches I have ever been to, but you won't see it in this picture since I took a heavily expired film to the beach. It might have been a bit foolish, but life goes on.

I brought two film cameras on this trip and used all my film. I was particularly curious to see how one of the cameras would perform, especially since the film was heavily expired, but it worked just fine.

I have several pictures of the old town in Split, and one element always catches my attention: the Pjaca Clock Tower, which you can see here.

Dominating Nardoni Trg, the Pjaca Clock Tower stands out with its impressive 1,700 years of history. Visitors can ascend a steep stairway to reach the top, where they are rewarded with a breathtaking view of the Old Town and its lively flow of people.

The film I used here was the Wolfen Cine UN54, which was the first time I had used it. I'm happy with the results and looking forward to trying it again.

During my days in Croatia, one of the best things I did was take a ferry from Split to Supetar. Here, you can see some people chilling on the ferry while we waited to arrive on the island.

I took two film cameras on this trip and used all my film. I was especially curious to see how this one would behave since it was heavily expired, but it worked fine.
