I’m thinking, You go girl! I’m no fan of BC United, but what leader Kevin Falcon did to his team is unfathomably awful. If they choose to run as independents and use materials they’ve already paid for, let the BC Cons pay for new materials.
“BC saw a rare unanimous vote in its legislature in October 2019, when members passed a law adopting the United Nations Declarations on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, setting out standards including free, prior and informed consent for actions affecting them.”
And now BC Conservatives want to take us back to when white men were men and everyone else did as we said…
Furstenau pointed out Rustad was part of a 2000s-era Liberal government that supported safe injection sites.
“Did John get spun by his backroom federal Conservative strategists or did he just wake up and decide that further endangering the most marginalized British Columbians was the best path to power?” she said in a statement.
“It didn’t have to end like this. It was, after all, a conservative government in B.C. — the confusingly-named BC Liberals — who introduced the first consumer carbon tax in 2008. A year earlier, meanwhile, Alberta implemented its own modest carbon price on large industrial emitters. Even the Stephen Harper Conservatives were talking favourably about carbon pricing back then.”
I just can't even.... why does a progressive party leader oppose policies that protect the health of people, and favour those that push climate change?
Labour leader Keir Starmer calls action to prevent the deaths of 4000 people a year in London ‘very wrong’ after Ulez-linked Uxbridge election loss #climatebreakdown#LeadershipFail
