The village of Ramdevra (near the town of Pokhran, Jaisalmer district, Rajasthan, India) is home to the Shri Baba Ramdev Temple, the well-known pilgrimage centre for the founder of the village, a member of a Rajput dynasty from the 15th century. At the age of 33, he took samadhi (conscious exit from the mortal body) and became a saint who is revered by both Hindus and Muslims.
The temple itself was only built around the saint's tomb in 1931.
