Tomb inside St Michael & All Angels, Hawkshead. Apparently the tomb is of the parents of Edwin Sandys, from the village, who became Archbishop of York; it is dated 1578.

A rather dark portrait format black and white photo, lit by windows from the left and far end of a small chapel in a church building. A wooden pew and chair are jammed up against a stone tomb under the window, topped with an effigy of a figure, head nearest resting on a stone cushion. There is a flag between the two windows.
