A Mangrove Marshal (Pornothemis starrei) spotted at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, Singapore, on 3 Sept 2023. Nice to be able to spot this rare dragonfly.

The IUCN Red List Conservation Status says it is near threatened (NT). Its larva breed in very saline conditions, which is unusual for dragonflies.

A dragonfly with yellowish eyes and yellow markings on its abdomen. Its tail is dark, thin and has a slight curve.
