Personally, if I had like €1M I'd propably consider starting a company that basically builds a "#TinyRetro" with like a #FlashFloppy, #PicoGUS, #QuadFlop and all the other parts (incl. #IDE controller & IDE->SATA Adaptor) on a #MiniITX form factor (with one of those SOMs) and a spare #ISA slot which then fits into a compact case like the #M350 or similar.
Think of it as a faster alternative to the #NuXT...

@jbqueru personally, I hope for #RISCv to become #mainstream and be offered in more than just SBCs with #SolderedDownRAM but also regular formfactors like #UCFF / #NUC, #MiniITX, #MiniDTX, #microATX & #ATX!
Also I'd propably modify the dimensions and design to not get "legal anger" from Apple and instead allow to fit a #MiniITX board or similar inside it...
Propably give it a 5,25" bay to allow fitting a BDXL burner and/or trayless SSD front bay(s) or a #NeoFloppy drive to it...
I think it's time to find a new motherboard for my server.. Are there any good comparison tools out there? Something I can filter on? ie, Mini ITX, I need at least 10 SATA 6G ports, at least 64G ram, etc.

@mntmn @liaizon Because those are #SingleVendor / #SingleProvider solutions and make you dependent on a single source for boards.
Whereas everyone can design and build boards compliant to the UCFF form factor.
It's kinda like #MiniITX but smaller.
Also the idea is to take the concept from the Desktop PCs, as one isn't throwing away the entire case, Monitor and HIDs when they swap the mainboard - so why should we tolerate the same on mobile devices?
