Kyle Davis<p>A request: </p><p>I’m trying out some <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/3dPrinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>3dPrinting</span></a> tolerances for small print-in-place mechanisms.</p><p>This entire object is 18x12mm - I’m aiming for something generally printable on a range of printers without futzing about in a slicer.</p><p>If I threw this on <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Printables" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Printables</span></a> would you give it a test print and report back if it works on your printer? </p><p>It’s 1.37 grams and takes about 7 minutes on a slower printer.</p><p>(Excuse my son for video bombing: nothing keeps him from his afternoon toy car races)</p>

Meine zwei Augen sehen nicht alles 🙄
Ebenso falls leicht abweichende andere Maße benötigt werden. Kann auch #FreeCAD-Dateien liefern - hab sie aber nicht veröffentlicht weil oftmals bei minimalen Änderungen Kanten usw. nicht mehr gefunden werden (wie es scheint das "Topologische Benennungsproblem").

Der Displayhalter wurde nun auf #Printables veröffentlicht:

Die FreeCAD-Dateien werde ich erst später veröffentlichen, hab da noch Probleme mit Änderung von Parametern und verlorene Verknüpfung wenn man die Haupt-Datei (also die mit der Parametertabelle) unter einem anderen Namen speichert - das Gegenstück verliert dann die Verbindung. Und noch weiß ich nicht wie beheben. 🤨

Die Displayeinheit folgt bald.

Need a thing, make a thing.

Cobbling together some of those ubiquitous shelf pegs for #3Dprinting. Found some on #Printables, but I'm rarely satisfied with off-the-shelf designs.

Invariably I'll change a few cosmetic things, but also:

a) hobbyist 3D designers often don't chamfer their corners for cleaner and stronger prints.

b) Many have excessive vertices. Simpler is better for finding errors, accepting future mods and printing fast.

So some rework done. Test printing diff orientations.
