Sen #RogerWicker, #Republican of MS & the chair of the #Senate panel which has #oversight of the #Pentagon, says that he & his Democratic counterpart will request an expedited investigation by the Dept of #Defense Office of Inspector General into the #Signal group chat. Wicker & Sen #JackReed, Democrat of RI & the top Dem on the cmte, are also seeking to hold classified briefings on the matter.
It’s unclear who will oversee the investigation because #Trump fired the IG at the Pentagon.
Most #Republicans stood up to applaud #Trump’s announcement that he would impose reciprocal #tariffs on April 2, but several remained seated, including Sens #LisaMurkowski (Alaska), #SusanCollins (Maine) & #RogerWicker (Mississippi).
I don’t care if they sit or stand. I want them to vote for the US interests & stop kowtowing to Trump.

The FBI’s report on Hegseth was made available only to the Chairman and the Ranking Member of the Armed Services Committee, not the rank-and-file Senators on the Committee. Ranking Member Reed asked that the report be made available to the entire committee, but the Republican Chairman, Roger Wicker, refused.
Sen. Roger Wicker (R-MS) is clearly an idiot.
