@wdlindsy #TCF may have authoritarians in his organization but he's simply looking for distractions from the stories that really hurt him and his party politically (mostly him), which are the #economy and the #EpsteinFiles. He can do "authoritarian" all day and there's little we can do meeting this threat head on. But Americans of all stripes hate hate hate child rapists and they hate hate hate paying more and more. These are the stories that the administration would rather you not talk about. So stop giving him more power and keep talking about trump the child molester

The other weakness #TCF has is the economic shitshow and resulting inflation. Everyone hates paying more and he owns this one entirely. KEEP FOCUSING ON THESE. Keep calling for release of the #EpsteinFiles The little black book. And keep talking about it. Keep the conversation going on the economy; how much you're paying for things. There's only a few #billionaires and they're already rich. Why do they need a tax break? They don't contribute a thing except election interference. Let your representatives know how bad things are, every day if possible. Talk to your neighbors. Get a #Tariff bill (like my daughter did)? Show it off. KEEP IT GOING!!

Vielen Dank an @roofjoke für die verständliche Aufarbeitung dieses komplexen Themas. Aus Nutzenden-/Bürger*innensicht wäre es am erfreulichsten, wenn die drangsalierenden Abfragen und das maßlose Tracking auf so gut wieder jeder Webseite ein Ende hätten. Alternativen gibt es ja, siehe z.B. nicht personalisierte Werbung.

"Google, Microsoft, Amazon, X, and the entire tracking-based advertising industry rely on the “Transparency & Consent Framework” (TCF) to obtain “consent” for data processing. This evening the Belgian Court of Appeal ruled that the TCF is illegal. The TCF is live on 80% of the Internet.[1]
Today’s decision arises from enforcement by the Belgian Data Protection Authority, prompted by complainants coordinated by Dr Johnny Ryan, Director of Enforce at the Irish Council for Civil Liberties. The group of complainants are: Dr Johnny Ryan of Enforce, Katarzyna Szymielewicz of the Panoptykon Foundation, Dr Jef Ausloos, Dr Pierre Dewitte, Stichting Bits of Freedom, and Ligue des Droits Humains.
Dr Johnny Ryan said "Today's court's decision shows that the consent system used by Google, Amazon, X, Microsoft, deceives hundreds of millions of Europeans. The tech industry has sought to hide its vast data breach behind sham consent popups. Tech companies turned the GDPR into a daily nuisance rather than a shield for people."
This Belgian enforcement arises from a chain of complaints and litigation across Europe initiated by Dr Ryan in 2018 against Real-Time Bidding (RTB)."

Ruling on a complaint that was coordinated by An Chomhairle um Chearta Daonna (The Irish Council for Civil Liberties) the Belgian Court of Appeal has ruled that the TCF is illegal. 
It applies immediately. It applies across the entire EU.
