Down by the #Thames, would you like to take a ride on the boat of light, or take a night-time swim with the #dolphin? Always an adventure available…

"Welcome to the Tower, Donald. We've got the *perfect* room picked out for you…"
But I made it to Allhallows - seeing such beauty on the way. Next stop: Grain.
Low battery beauty from the #HooPeninsula – #postApocalyptic views and more, as my phone and camera slowly failed me
But it takes ages to get there. Because you have to skirt round the tip at Wandsworth and then see that thing at Tate Britain right? And the river is unnecessary bendy. And people are ambling. #ThamesPath
Somewhere around here, travel became a pain in the arse. Between Oxford and Windsor, a combination of buses and trains worked really well. But getting to Staines and beyond from North Oxfordshire is time-consuming. Months passed between legs. #ThamesPath
There were some glorious autumn days around Bray, Cookham, Marlow (I think) where the trees were at there best. Paused at Runnymede to pay our respects to Magna Carta who died in vain. #ThamesPath
The walking between Lechlade and Oxford was the bit I enjoyed most. Very rural and can really detach yourself from the grind of life for a while. But pop into Kelmscott, of course. #ThamesPath
The source was just a dry pile of stones the day I started. Had to walk for 10 minutes before there was any water to see. Second day between Cricklade and Lechlade was a real highlight. A beautiful summer day. Clouds of dragonflies. #ThamesPath
I have to say...the source was more picturesque. #ThamesPath
Last half a mile. #ThamesPath
My feet are tired. #ThamesPath
The moment on the walk when I roll my eyes and say "the patriarchy, eh?" #ThamesPath
#FingerpostFriday question - what to do if one's pointing the wrong way? On the Strand this one is saying the way to the #Thames is up between #LSE & #RoyalCourtsOfJustice, not down the hill, which is what'll actually get you to the #river and #ThamesPath
Try and push it back (if you can reach) - or might that damage it? Who to tell? FixMyStreet, or somewhere else?
The watermans way to the wharf
"This is the story of a #river…
And the secrets that lie under #water
’Neath the soft, black rain
This is a story about #London"
Things revealed along the #ThamesPath by the #LondonTide
Also a great #NationalTheatre play which I've nicked #PJHarvey's lyrics from
#Baldur chuckles nervously and walks away

This definitely feels like a place for a climatic #SciFi battle! But was actually a 'bulk unloader' built for getting #coal into a (now demolished) #powerStation

"The Fist of the #Thames": Name of a #Punk band or #DoctorWho episode?
