I wrote a script to download all the Annual Tropical Cyclone Reports and Best Track Data Archives from the #JTWC website. I am keeping all that public data somewhere safe.

Two houses on stilts in #Brisbane’s western suburbs are set to brave #TropicalCyclone Alfred.
The two homes – at Simpsons Road in #Bardon – are under construction in an area which regularly floods.
That’s unlikely to be a major concern this time, but Alfred is a category-two tropical cyclone and is expected to bring sustained winds of 95km/h, gusting up to 130km/h.
"Hurricane Hunter aircraft data indicates that Tropical Storm Oscar is stronger than previously estimated with maximum sustained winds of at least 70 mph (115 km/h) with higher gusts. The minimum central pressure measured by dropsonde observations has also fallen to 991 mb (29.26 in)."

edit: should have said, it's not as bad as the coasts of Georgia, South Carolina, and southern North Carolina, but still ...
four tropical storms, Carlotta, Daniel, Emilia, and Fabio are currently active in the East Pacific. This situation won't last; Carlotta is expected to be post-tropical in 36 hours or less, Daniel in 48 hours or less, and Fabio is expected to be absorbed by Emilia in 60 hours or less.

Ayyyyyy an impending cyclone, combined with a stinker heat wave, chronic fatigue and a twisted knee, mean the pre-cyclone yard cleanup over next few days is going to be much more dreadful than usual!!
At this stage, the cyclone itself is going to be the easiest part... Ah well spose that’s the tropical life.

Two tropical cyclones have formed either side of Australia. #Gabrielle off the coast of Queensland, and #Freddy off the coast of Western Australia.
Gabrielle is tracking toward northern New Zealand, bringing the risk of more heavy rain and flooding by early next week.
