After spycops officer Andy Coles' appalling appearance at the public inquiry in which he gave contradictory stories & still denies abusing Jessica while undercover, you might expect him to slope off quietly.

But no, he's back & standing for the Tories in Peterborough Council's Barnack ward. Jessica is in the city, telling the electorate the truth about him.

She has a new Facebook page too : facebook.com/Jessica.me2

Spycop HN85 Roger Pearce 'Roger Thorley' infiltrated anarchist groups 1979-84. He gave evidence to the spycops public inquiry in July 2024. The Inquiry hasn't posted video of him being questioned on its YouTube channel, so we've posted it on ours.

Thorley wrote anti-police articles while undercover. Afterwards he became a Special Branch manager before retiring in 2003 to write awful novels.

5 stars for The Undercover Police Scandal: Love and Lies Exposed. All three episodes are on ITVX.

"In photographs & home movies, & in memories of the times their partners accompanied them to siblings’ weddings & parents’ death beds, we are privy to those moments..

"It’s not just the cruelty & professional misogyny that linger. That the women’s experiences were eerily alike underlines that this was an elaborate & expensive state-sanctioned operation."

Helen Steel was 22 when she fell in love with John Barker. Except he wasn't real - he was actually Special Demonstration Squad officer John Dines who'd stolen the identity of a boy who'd died of leukaemia aged 8.

They were living together, then John suddenly disappeared. Helen knew something wasn't right and did pioneering detective work that brought the spycops scandal out into the light.

Three great spycops articles from the Guardian today:

At least 25 spycops deceived women they spied on into sexual relationships, 4 of them having kids. The true figure is likely much higher - the public inquiry has granted most of them anonymity, we only have full details on the ones we unmasked ourselves.
