This beautiful #SlowWorm crossed my way when #Hiking yesterday. I made it move from the trail into the bushes so that it doesn't get put to death by #Mountainbikes.

A slow worm lies on the hiking path. It's about 30 cm long.

I moved a little closer and took a shot of it's head. The other pictures show even closer shots.

Meine Lieblingsvögel auf Helgoland sind wieder am Liebe machen und Nest bauen. Zeit wieder ein paar Fotos zu machen. Am liebsten mit längeren Belichtungszeiten.

My favorite birds on Heligoland are making love and building nests again. Time to take a few photos again. Preferably with longer exposure times.

A #Fox, right in front of our front door, eatng #Cat food. I shot this video though the glass of the door to not shy it away. Foxes are very shy. I wonder why so many people fear them.

A #Deer in the #Forest while #Hiking. I managed to not shy it away. Please excuse the poor video quality but this deer was about 70 or 80 meters away and I couldn't easily approach. So I had to zoom in beyond the optical zoom level.

I was able to take this video today while #Hiking in the #Woods. I noticed a #Deer standing about 50 meters away from me and watching what I was doing. So I halted and took my #iPhone to take this zoomed in #Video.

This also shows why it's important to not make too much noise and scare wild life, as for example #MountainBikers do it all the time.

Basstölpel beim Landen in seiner Kolonie auf einem Fels 50 Meter über dem Meer, es ist eng und es wird lauthals die Position mit allen abgesprochen. Das Bild ist aus dem späten Sommer, aktuell sind die Kerlchen ja auf Winterreise.

Northern gannets landing in their colony on a rock 50 meters above the sea, it is narrow and the position is loudly discussed with everyone. The picture was taken in late summer, as the birds are currently on a winter trip.
