A pair of billiard room extensions at the rear of the 1850s Charles Wilson townhouses on Park Circus in the West End of Glasgow. These were added in the 1880s, which was around the time the first official governing body for the game, the Billiards Association, was founded in the UK.
Just saying but... Bank pool is the single most boring cue sport on earth. The rules are setup to remove luck from all valid shots, so it degenerates in to waiting for someone to get slightly more lucky than the rules imagine (almost any bank shot requires a skill to luck ratio that means you were at least lucky enough to hit the top end of your skill). It's two hours of watching people miss.

So I just found out that today is International Cat Day (which is also every day, in my house). In a complete coincidence, I received delivery today of a cat-sized billiard table for my little munchkins. Haven’t assembled it yet, but I’ll provide a detailed update after we play a game or two of stripes and solids.
I've been playing some very casual games of #eightball #pool with a friend of mine over the last few months. I've lost every game we've played.
Tonight, after I lost another game horrendously, my friend gave me a little pointer on how to aim to properly hit the balls.
Somehow, I won the next two games.
