It's fascinating that the same game can be described as "boring", "repetitive" and "empty" with "useless rewards" by one group of people, while another group says it's "engaging", "varied" and "unique" with "meaningful discoveries".
What we find boring or engaging depends heavily on our previous experiences, as well as on our expectations.

I love big, #openWorld games where you travel to lots of places and explore different terrains and people groups — the classic examples being #Bethesda games like the #ElderScrolls (#Oblivion, #Skyrim) and #Fallout.
My only #gaming platform is my #SteamDeck. What other games should I look at that wlll give me this experience? Bonus points if (like Skyrim and unlike Fallout) the worlds are beautiful.

I wish I wasn't such a sucker for open-world games. They just tick all my boxes and suck up all my time. I just finished AC: Odyssey with all DLC content, in 156 hours. Oof. And earlier this year I dumped 140 hours into Horizon Forbidden West. Next up: AC: Valhalla.
