Es war toll für mich, dieses Jahr mit einem großartigen Team der @fsfe wieder bei den Chemnitzer Linux-Tagen dabei zu sein!

Kul att se att EU:s kodkatalog med öppen källkod för offentlig sektor lanseras innan månadens slut och att svenska offentligkod.se är på väg att aggregeras till den. Nu får vi bara hoppas att fler svenska myndigheter skapar publiccode.yml filer för sina lösningar och anmäler dem till den svenska katalogen så att de också får spridning ut i Europa. https://nosad.se/EU_OSS_catalogue

Why isn’t software funded by taxpayers released as Free Software?

We need legislation requiring publicly financed software to be #FreeSoftware. If it’s public money , it should be public code!

I just used for the first time #GNUtaler to pay my Mate at #Datenspuren. GNUtaler is a #FreeSoftware secure electronic payment system funded under the #EU's Next Generation Internet programme #NGI which the EU just decided to cut by €27 mio.

The payment worked awesome - and Free Software needs sustainable, long-term financial support! This is what we at the @fsfe demand from the EU, to ensure Europe's technological independence.
